"Denim Day Outfit"
A collaboration between Shenkar College and Nudie Jeans. My project is about supporting the struggle to stop violence against women. The project was inspired by a rape case in Italy. The rapist was acquitted on the argument of: "the girl wore so tight jeans that the driving instructor could not have removed them by himself without the girl's help". Following the incident, the "Denim Day" began: people from all over the world wear jeans as a protest. In addition, I was inspired by the artist Zoe Buckman and her exhibition- "Every Curve". She took intimate underwear from the 20th century and embroidered sentences from rep songs of the '90s with feminist and chauvinistic messages.

The outfit:
The top made from old Nudie Jeans' jeans. The sleeves made by a handmade print of the symbol of the "White Ribbon", an organization that support women's rights. The trousers made from denim received from Nudie Jeans and old jeans by ready-made technic.
